Lola Consuelos has released her debut EP, Sorry, It’s All About Me, her first multi-track project following her earlier single releases over the past few years. The EP consists of five tracks, “Lola,” “Hypochondriac,” “Not Like You,” “End Of The World,” and “Sexier,” and was released in December. It follows her debut single “Paranoia Silverlining,” which came out in 2022 and marked her first public release as a recording artist. The material on Sorry, It’s All About Me was written and recorded across different locations and periods, including her time studying music at New York University and her more recent work based in London. The EP brings those songs together into a single release for the first time, making it her first project presented as a complete body of work rather than as individual tracks released separately.
The Songs on Sorry, It’s All About Me
The EP contains five tracks: “Lola,” “Hypochondriac,” “Not Like You,” “End Of The World,” and “Sexier,” all running between just under two minutes and just under three minutes. “Lola” was released first as the lead single and used to introduce the project ahead of the full EP release. The remaining songs were released together as part of the EP in December. The tracklist is presented in a single continuous sequence without interludes, alternate versions, or featured artists. The full release runs slightly over twelve minutes in total, making it a short and self-contained project.
Around the release, Lola described writing as a way of working through thoughts and feelings, saying that the process helped her let go of old grudges and unspoken emotions and stay present. She also spoke about being grateful for the people she collaborated with on the project and for the space the writing process gave her during that period. These statements are the primary context she has shared publicly about how the songs were created. The songs were later performed live at the Lower Third in London, marking the first time material from Sorry, It’s All About Me was presented together in a live setting.
The Release of Sorry, It’s All About Me and the Early Response
Sorry, It’s All About Me was released in December following the earlier release of the single “Lola,” which was shared ahead of the full project and used to introduce the EP publicly. Lola announced the EP through her own social channels, describing the writing process as meaningful to her and expressing gratitude toward the people she worked with on the project. The release was accompanied by a small set of promotional images and posts rather than a large-scale campaign, keeping the focus on the music itself and the moment of the first full release.
Following the EP’s release, listeners responded through social media comments and messages, with many sharing congratulations and encouragement. Her parents, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, also acknowledged the release publicly, adding to its visibility without shifting the focus away from the project. Some listeners suggested she promote the EP through live appearances or television, while others simply shared their reactions to the songs and the milestone. The overall response reflected interest in the project as her first extended release rather than as a celebrity-driven event.
Lola Consuelos’ Career So Far and the Debut EP
Before releasing Sorry, It’s All About Me, Lola Consuelos had shared a small number of singles, beginning with “Paranoia Silverlining” in 2022, and had been writing and developing material while studying at New York University’s Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music and later working from London. The debut EP brings together songs written across that period into her first extended release, marking a transition from individual track releases to a project presented as a whole. Alongside the EP, she has begun performing the material live, including at the Lower Third in London, and has spoken about writing as an important personal process during this phase of her work. Within that timeline, Sorry, It’s All About Me stands as the first formal release that collects her songwriting into a single, self-contained project.
